Day 41 of Da Ride

The terrain covered in today’s 65 mile ride was rolling hills under partly sunny skies. This was much different than how the day started off. We were greeted with thunderstorms early in the day. The campground  had approximately 120 out of 150 campsites with some standing water on them after all the rain in this region. The firepit had an inch of water in it. The team quickly broke camp in a dry window and began the journey into the finger lakes region. With the end of the ride coming at the end of the week, the team’s spirit is definitely buoyed. There are two shout outs today. The first goes to Ashelaye Lawrence on her recent baptism and for starting college at Johnson and Wales in Charlotte. Double congratulations and blessings. The second goes to Steve’s nephew, Michael with wife Jessica and daughter Lillianna, who live in the Rochester area and hosted Steve and Cas last summer. We are staying at the Canandaigu KOA so this is our last laundry night. There is a pond where one can catch a bass or two. Maybe we can have fresh fish for today. That is a blessing we all look forward to when we get home.img_1397.jpgimg_1385.jpg
